Dubbed as the “Iceman” former Universal Fighting Champion Chuck Liddel visited the Philippines to show his winning techniques! When he arrived in the country he went straight to SM Mall of Asia. Many Filipinos were waiting for his arrival. He was shocked because he never realized how the Filipino people show their support for him and to his chosen sport as well. An idea came up after his visit. Next year’s competition might be held in the country.

Learning mix martial arts is good. In fact, it’s a good step in making your body healthy. Learning some skills for self defense purposes is not bad. On the contrary, I’m not okay when the kids are watching it together with the adults. For older people yes it’s fine but not for youngsters. To us, it’s just a tv program aired weekly. Don’t you realize its effect to the minds of children?

My brother was a former fan of kickboxing, wrestling and the likes. But we restricted him from viewing those. We don’t want him to see such tv shows because the content of the program for violence is very strong! We don’t want him to be one of our neighbors in his age. Those kids are really following the actions that they see on tv! If you study human development, you’ll understand that children undergo imitative stage. Meaning they copy what they see, they follow what adults do, they do things which they  believe are right!

As we commonly see on out TV screens, Parental Guidance is really advised.
